Kwamena Duncan has urged the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) and all Ministers of God not to be intimidated by insults rained on them by members of the governing party.

According to him, the Clergy should not be swayed away from the right course and their role in nation building.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, the Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, pilloried the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, over his claims that the General Secretary of the CCG, Rev. Opuni-Frimpong is an NPP mole.

The Clergy issued a communiqué calling on the Electoral Commission (EC) to implement the Supreme Court ruling that the names of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registrants in the voter's register should be expunged.

Responding to the communiqué, Koku Anyidoho in an interview with Okay FM accused the General Secretary of the Christian Council and other members of the Clergy of doing the bidding of the NPP.

But in a quick riposte, Kwamena Duncan empowered the Clergy to remain resolute in their decisions and not cringe in fear of the chastisements from any party.

To him, some people tend to emit "animalistic" tendencies, and so urged "our Reverend Ministers, our Pastors; indeed the Clergy not to be intimidated in any way. They should take a cue from the sufferings of Jesus Christ…Let them not be deterred in any way by the insults. Some people exhibit animalistic attitudes. But theirs is human and so let these Reverend Ministers, the Clergy; do not be intimidated, deterred in any way by such insults.”
